February 23, 2009 Leave a comment

Mark Jolly talks to SICS careers adviser Gill Sharp about fitting together work as a freelance journalist with his own writing projects.

Mark looks at the pros and cons of working in freelance journalism. He discusses different areas in journalism, the creative and not-so-creative aspects of the work, and the rates of pay. He also describes the work he has done writing screenplays, getting them read and getting them produced.

This podcast is the third in a series of four SICS podcasts on careers using the written word, funded by the Higher Education Academy.
